Biography of Shayk Ahmad Banajah Abul Athaa' حفظه الله ورعاه
He is Shayk Ahmad Bin Umar Bin Abdur Rahman Banaja. His origin is in Wadi Dawan - a town in Hadra Maut, Yemen. He sought knowledge in a lot of cities in Yemen - the South and the North. After his father passed away when he was around 11 years old (may Allah have mercy on his father) he wanted to be a righteous son and got motivated to memorize the quran.
The Shayk also used to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Umrah and Hajj frequently and during those times he used to sit under the scholars and benefit from them as much as he could which include Shayk Salih al Luhaydan, Shayk Muhammad al Aqlaan , Shayk Abdul Muhsin al Abbad and his son Shayk Abddur Razzaq al Badr, Shayk Muhammad Hamid Al Faqee, Shayk Muhammad Abdul Wahhab al Banna, Shayk Hasan Abdul Wahhab al Banna, Shayk Salih al Fawzan, Shayk Abdullah al Ghudayan, Shayk Rabee Bin Hadi, Shayk Muhammad bin Ali Aadam al Ethiopi , Shayk Ubaid al Jabiree, Shayk Muhammad bin Hadi , Shayk Salih al Usaymi, And Shayk Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jibreen, and Shayk Saad Al-Shathri etc. May Allah give taufik to all who are still alive and have mercy on those who have died.
And regarding the sciences of the Quran, he sat and benefitted from Shayk Ayman Suwaid and also his students and learnt about Tajweed and the various Qira’aat. He got his certificate in Al Jazariyya and he learnt all the seven Qira’aat according to the way of Shatibiyya. He learnt with many of the students of Shayk Ismail Abdul Aal Al Misri. He recited some of the Quran under Shayk Abdus Salam Al Majeedi, then he recited all of it to Shayk Al Muqri Ali Ghazwan al Mahweeti. Also he recited the Quran with Qira’aat to Shaikh Al Muqri Al Mufeed Taha Al Kebsy .
Also he got certificate from Shayk Abdul Kareem al Ba’daani and Shayk Jamal Al Ba’daani in Aljazariyyah. He also benefitted a lot from Shayk Al Muqri Ahmad As Shareef Al Dimashqi. He recited some of the Quran to him and also Aljazariyya. He also benefited greatly from Sheikh Al-Maqri Ahmed Al-Sharif Al-Dimashqi, may Allah grant him success, and he recited some of the Qur’an to him, as well as Al-Jazari.
Then from Allah's mercy, he met the Musnid Sheikh Muhammed Karim Rajeh, may Allah bless him, during his visit to Malaysia, and he recited to him Al-Fatihah and Surahs from the Mufassal, and asked him questions about Qur’an, and the sheikh praised his recitation, which is a recorded interview. Gladness and praise be to Allah alone. May Allah reward them all well and give them the reward,as who does not thank people is not thankful to Allah Almighty.
The year now is 2021 and the Shayk has spent his last 20 years in seeking knowledge and doing Dawah, calling people towards the Deen of Allah, Sunnah and the way of the Salaf in different places like Yemen, Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives etc. May Allah accept all his efforts and reward him from His Bounty, preserve him and continue to benefit the Ummah through him.
